Our leadership and staff here at La Casa de Don Pedro are dedicated to meeting the needs of the community and advocating on behalf of the disenfranchised and underserved populations throughout Essex County and beyond. Below is a glimpse into the programs, services, and advocacy work being done on a daily basis.

Over 740 children are currently enrolled in our award-winning preschool programs to ensure they are prepared for Kindergarten.

More than 500 students completed adult education classes at La Casa de Don Pedro in 2023 including ESL, Civics, and High School Equivalency.

Over 6,000 pounds of food are distributed weekly through our Community Fridge at 39 Broadway.

La Casa helps over 15,000 families pay their utility bills to ensure their homes stay warm during the winter and cool during the summer.

During the Summer of 2023, we provided 11,438 meals (breakfast & lunch) to children in our community when school meals weren’t available.

Over 1,500 children now have affordable health insurance thanks to our NJ FamilyCare enrollment events.

250 families received essential home renovations from La Casa such as new windows, boilers, and insulation. These updates ensure their homes are safer and more energy efficient while also increasing the value of their homes.

Over 500 families participate in our family-strengthening programs, workshops, and events at both of our Family Success Centers on a weekly basis.
