La Casa’s kids exploring marine life at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ

(July 29, 2021) Since July 6th, La Casa’s Summer Adventure Program has been open to Newark’s children and families, delivering on their promise to offer the “best summer experience ever”.  With over 40 children enrolled, ranging in age from 6 to 13 , the program gives parents (and kids) a break from 8am-4pm daily by offering fun and educational activities that are guaranteed to engage interests, build confidence, and promote creativity.

The summer camp, which runs from July 6th to August 27th, is led by La Casa’s superb Youth, Family, and Health services division at 23 Broadway in Newark’s Lower Broadway district. The children were welcomed with a luau-themed party featuring healthy, tropical smoothies and party favors. Many of the children have already participated in other programs at La Casa such as our After School and In-Person Study Hall programs, and were excited to see each other after a short break following the end of the school year.

So far, the children have been on several field trips (at no cost to the families) to places like Adventure Aquarium, Liberty Science Center, the Crayola Experience, and Donaldson Farm. The goal is to provide these children with experiences that will last a lifetime and give them the opportunity to explore worlds and subjects that they may not normally get to witness.

If you or anyone you know is interested in enrolling your children for our Summer Adventure Program, we’re still accepting new registrations. Contact us now at 973-483-2703.
