La Casa de Don Pedro’s #GivingTuesday End of Year Campaign is back!

It’s no secret that the very individuals and families La Casa serves, and the communities in which La Casa works, are facing extreme hardship due to the impact of COVID-19. Job loss, difficulty getting enough food, housing insecurity, emotional distress, and surviving the loss of a loved one are far too common phenomenons in Greater Newark’s communities. With a second wave coming to crash and so much uncertainty, all of us are hurting.

But when when you make a donation to La Casa de Don Pedro, know you’ll make a difference. You can trust us with your gift because we make sure those who need it the most get the help they need.

Join us this holiday season! Together let’s collect & distribute 1,000 quality gifts for La Casa’s kids, 750 bags of food for our most food insecure families, and raise $50,000 in funds to help sustain our comprehensive programs and services.

Let’s come together and spread some holiday joy. Our goal is that La Casa’s ten expecting mothers, 110 infants and toddlers, 660 preschoolers, 200 school age children, and 55 teens enjoy a new gift this holiday season. GIVE FINANCIALLY
When the pandemic hit, La Casa stepped up quickly to help our constituents while keeping our staff safe. Our creative and safety-focused approach allowed us to sustain our essential programming, keep virtually all of our staff on board, and pivot to address emerging needs.  We built virtual communities using technology and social media to keep families connected and informed. We partnered with World Central Kitchen, Table to Table, and friends like you to distribute 8 tons of produce, 6,160 hot meals, and more than $50,000 worth of supermarket gift cards to food insecure families.  Our COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program will help over 100 families with extensive back rent owed (as much $10,000 ). And, we bolstered our job placement services program so we can help families get back on their feet.

Know when you give to La Casa de Don Pedro, you’re giving to an organization well positioned to continue to make a difference. Consider making a recurring monthly donation because when we can count on your donation, you’ll help us plan ahead for the future. No dollar amount is too small.
